We know through research that stress and trauma is held in the body. This contributes to symptoms of anxiety. Healing happens in the body, when we learn to listen and support it. 

In this work, you will learn to cultivate a deep relationship with your nervous system, your mind, and inner self. The somatic tools you will learn will allow you to support more nervous system regulation and create more space in your body to process stuck patterns that have been waiting to be resolved. 

We will also learn how to listen to your body and create a life based on your capacity, while gently expanding it. Doing so, helps to reduce anxiety and ability to metabolize stress better. This work will help in honoring your boundaries, speaking your truth, and feeling more at ease and safe in your body.

Common questions about therapy for anxiety

  • Every person is unique and the time it takes depends on the nervous system capacity, how you apply the tools learned, and frequency of the therapy sessions. Some clients, when they’ve applied what they’ve learned, can start seeing results in 2 months - 6 months; however, some take longer than a year. 

  • It’s recommended to come to therapy when you have the time and ability to do the work, so that way you can experience the results. It’s okay if now is not the right time. Come back when you are ready.

  • I have limited slots for sliding scale. Currently not taking insurance. I can do a superbill, which is a partial or full reimbursement from your insurance provider. Check with them first.
